Yard work will never never be the same. "Weeds," she says, "are so much like sin. Think about that while you are weeding." I could have weeded for a decade. It can be a challenge to recognize the entire root of the weed. Yeah sin is the same. So we identify the root(s) of our sin but it can still be so hard to dig up entirely, at least without some degree of discomfort. And weeds, they spread like gangrene if not stopped.
Then I thought of Adam. The chum single-handedly took great care of a presumably enormous garden...before he sinned. Thanks a lot Adam, you frick'in idiot. Oh right, I am just like him.

The Pangs of Abortion

Recently I hear that an abortive mother might receive analgesics for her "fetus" just prior to his execution. Can anyone out there explain for me this logic, or lack thereof? If a fetus is really not a person, has no feelings, and is more an idea (choice) than a being, why would the fetus need pain medication prior to having his body blown to shreds or seared? See I know, as we all do, that a fetus is indeed a life. A fetus is a gift from God, one who is known by the Lord even in the innermost part of his mother. He is known by God even long before the mother knows of his existance. This is why people, sinful as we are, realize deep down that a baby (no matter his address--inside or outside of his mother) has nerve endings and feels pain just like those of us who have lived outside of the uterus for sometime. Curious about the details, fetal pain
To clarify, even if a fetus could not feel pain it would still be sin to take his life.

The Beginning

Here is the beginning of my blog.
